Debra Thomas is RMA’s Federal Assurance and Accounting Services (FAAS) Partner with over 33 years of managing audits, audit readiness, and other related financial and consulting services. As an executive leader at RMA, Ms. Thomas is responsible for leading RMA’s FAAS practice through business development, industry involvement, and most importantly, the growth of our people. Her role in the Federal government financial management community includes support on working group committees for FASAB, OMB, Treasury, GAO, Association of Government Accountants, American Society of Military Comptrollers, and Council of the Inspectors General on Integrity and Efficiency, which have directly impacted many of the auditing, accounting, and reporting requirements. Ms. Thomas is also the head of RMA’s Department of Professional Practice, where she leads RMA methodology and technical audit and accounting interpretation, development, and implementation. Outside of work, Ms. Thomas enjoys the outdoors, four-wheeling, hiking, tennis, and swimming.
